Is sex all we think about ?!

I have been working on a series of

"Emotional confrontations"

this next one is the thought of "Sex"

This drawing is about the basic human nature the constant thought of Sex

whether you are a man or a woman, and wether you like to accept it or not I personally believe that everything we do is ultimately to have sex, to feel wanted, lust for.

To be really honest I think some people like to be romantics and think of it as "love" others as sex and some as a "fuck"

what ever it is I think we need to be honest with ourselves and accept this reality

Also learn that with this comes a responsibility, that it affects poeple,

I believe some kind of feelings should be involved.. lust, fear, love, something that means something to someone.

I like to challenge our generation that is already so de-attached from reality thanks to all the technology and remind people that WE ARE REAL

we are not in facebook, or in cellphones

and that we are all thinking the same things and we are here.. en carne y hueso

So get off the computer and go have sex! haha go love someone! do somethingg!!!

I have been reading "The principles of Art"

and there is a chapter about " Emotional Confrontations"

So I decided work based on that..

I started to write down any event, people, places or situations thats made an impact of my life..

1st painting

MIAMi & Gallery WAlk

Miami stole a little piece of my heart ..

I think I left it somewhere in the downtown area

I was in Miami for a long 2 weeks I get to hang out at the beach with my friends & meet some amazing people, we Made it to the Gallery Walk they have the 2nd Saturday of every month So Next time you plan your trip to miami make sure is on the 2nd week of the month and make sure you go to The Gallery walk ( @ The design/ gallery area) A really fun & artsy side of Miami i feel most people miss out on! oh and the AFTER PARTY! really a great place to be!

This last two were some of my favorite work..

Santiago's work has all the sexuality and darkness any artist wants, its disturbing yet so captivating. It has movement and color, and I love the fact that its so phallic and painful, so abstract but completely anatomically correct. I also love his smaller pieces and the fact that he is not afraid to paint sex and to challenge religion.

Rafa's work is brilliant! so bright! you cant imagine how he got those layers of paint on top of each other without blending or having the colors bleed on each other, without having even the smallest bit look muddy. All the colors are so bright all over the canvas, I gotta admit the Aqua series is not my favorite of his work his technique and level of skill is worth being jealous of.

My favorite of his work is the Woman series, I think its more erotic, more honest.
